Tim Lant is a distinguished expert in mathematical modeling, big data and actuarial science, renowned for forecasting health outcomes and developing solutions for complex health challenges.

 He currently serves as Director of Data Analytics for the ASU Health Observatory. Lant’s work integrates advanced analytics, AI and health.

Previously, as Director of the Division of Analytic Decision Support at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Lant shaped national public health responses. He led efforts to assess consequences of pandemics and CBRN threats for the Strategic National Stockpile. His leadership includes extensive collaboration with the U.S. federal interagency, the White House and national laboratories.

Lant holds a PhD in Applied Mathematics and a Master of Actuarial Science. He is an expert in emergency management, resource optimization, and modeling and simulation. His work informs audiences including the public, first responders, public health officials and academic and policy researchers.
