Noah Snyder-Mackler is an expert in animal behavior and the intersection between environments, aging and the genome.

Research in the Snyder-Mackler (SMack) lab in the School of Life Sciences and Center for Evolution and Medicine at ASU is focused on understanding how and why animals age, and identifying molecular changes to better understand the role of the environment plays in the genome and how animals adapt and age.

He is a leader in the Dog Aging Project, focused on the health and happiness of dogs. His research discoveries about healthy aging in our canine companions will translate into medical advances for people too to live longer and stay healthier.

His work at ASU has received national attention and news coverage.
