Ross Maciejewski is an innovative computer scientist with a background in creating visual analytics for homeland security, public health, social media and law enforcement. 

His current research explores artificial intelligence solutions that can turn complex data into useful graphics to help people work safer and smarter.

As director of the School of Computing and Augmented Intelligence, Maciejewski oversees one of the nation’s largest computer science degree programs. He strives to ensure graduates are well-prepared to face a fast-changing technological landscape.

Maciejewski directs the Center for Accelerating Operational Efficiency, a research consortium that develops tools to aid real-time decision-making in homeland security operations. He has been recognized with $16.8 million in grant awards and has been a collaborator on over $300 million in research proposals.

Maciejewski was recently inducted into the prestigious IEEE Visualization Academy for highly significant work.
