Roddy Nikpour is an assistant teaching professor at the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication, where he primarily teaches courses in podcasting, audio storytelling, and audio editing.

As a Phoenix native and ASU alum, he first discovered radio at the student-run station, where he hosted an ambient music program. He has worked in community radio and at NPR affiliates across the country, including KJZZ, KRDP, Maine Public Radio, KUER, and KEXP. Across various roles in hosting, operations, and promotions, he has led program and production development, helping shows and stations find their best sound on the mic, raising money for fund drives, and launching new podcasts. Some of those shows have earned national and international accolades, such as KUER's State Street and KEXP's 50 Years of Hip-Hop series. He has also contributed original music to help move storytelling forward.
