Matthew Sopha is an expert in informational systems and emerging technologies.

His research focuses on the influence of social media, social presence and information system teaching methods.

Sopha is a clinical professor of information systems in the W. P. Carey School of Business. He is also a Barrett, The Honors College faculty advisor and Leader's Academy advisor.

Additionally, he has more than 10 years of professional experience as an accomplished actor, singer, director, choreographer and producer at numerous large- and small-scale theaters across the U.S.

There has been a distinct shift in terms of third-party content being blocked on platforms in favor of first-party content. For example, Google’s Chrome browser is stepping up enforcement of blocking third-party cookies as users browse content online. While actions like this may sound good, it is worth noting that actions like this have zero impact on first-party cookies on sites like Google’s YouTube.
