TEMPE, ARIZ., Nov. 15, 2024 — It’s that time of year again when Sun Devils from across the world descend upon Tempe for the long-anticipated tradition that is Homecoming from Nov. 17-23. This year will once again be filled with free, fun family-friendly activities for all. The celebration culminates with a powerhouse football matchup at Mountain America Stadium where the Sun Devils will take on BYU on Nov. 23 with a kick-off time of 1:30 p.m.

The oldest and most celebrated traditions, first celebrated in 1917, the Homecoming Lantern Walk, takes place on Friday, Nov. 22 at 5:30 p.m. The fun begins at the base of Tempe Butte (“A” Mountain) with a DJ setting the stage for a fun hike up “A” Mountain at about 6 p.m. Homecoming Royalty will be crowned at the top; student leaders will provide brief remarks and Sparky will be lighting up the “A”.

The meeting location is at the trail head at Veteran's Way and College Avenue. Please plan ahead as there is no parking directly at this trailhead.

The traditional ASU Homecoming Parade and Block Party, one of the longest running traditions at ASU, takes place Saturday, Nov. 23 at 9:30 a.m. along University Drive between Forest and McAllister Avenues. Visit any of the more than 100 tents with interactive displays and takeaways, from ASU Gammage’s WICKED themed tent to the College of Health Solution’s ear canal tunnel. There will be something for everyone. Plan on bringing the whole family! The ASU Marching Band, Homecoming Court and several community organizations and local celebrities will be at this signature event.

Free parking is available. Please visit https://cfo.asu.edu/parking for parking information. For tickets to the football game visit Sun Devil Athletics.
