Tempe, Ariz., January 23, 2025 Our annual signature event, Open Door, has arrived. ASU uniquely opens the doors to our university and gives the community a peek at some of the future-focused research and happenings that take place on campus. The fun begins on Saturday, Feb. 1 and continues through Sat. Feb. 22 at all our campuses from 1-5 p.m., in the Phoenix metropolitan area.

Unlock your curiosity with hundreds of activities. Learn about the ASU-led NASA mission to visit the asteroid Psyche; experience Dreamscape Learn, virtual reality, artificial intelligence; or look backward at the 3.2 million-year-old “founding fossil” — Lucy. From 3D printing, to programming a robot, there is something for everyone. You can even see and touch real meteorites at The Buseck Center for Meteorite Studies.

“Open Door is a wonderful opportunity for families to spend a fun-filled day together on our campuses and really see the work that we do and meet your neighbors in the community who are working to make positive contributions through research to really impact the world,” said Joanne Vogel, vice president of Educational Outreach and Student Services.

Downtown Campus, 1-5 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 1

ASU’s Downtown Campus will provide the community an opportunity to tour the Arizona PBS Studios and meet Clifford the Big Red Dog; check out the mom and baby mobile health clinic; or build your own first aid kit and so much more. Check out other interactive activities at Downtown here.

West Valley Campus, 1-5 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 8

The West Valley Campus is ready to help the community learn how to turn trash into creative wonders; or learn more about digital forensics; or maybe even try to beat a lie detector.
