Matthew Fraser is an expert in urban air quality, atmospheric monitoring, sustainability, energy systems and pollution.
Fraser is the co-Director of ASU’s Healthy Urban Environments initiative, a solutions center that builds collaborations between ASU’s research infrastructure and local business and municipal partners to demonstration solutions to mitigate urban heat and poor air quality.
He is a professor in the School of Sustainable Engineering and the Built Environment.
Professor Fraser's current projects include demonstration and deployment of approaches to make urban centers healthier, such as dust-suppression technologies, photocatalytic air pollution control, healthy schoolyard design, cool pavement treatments, and urban canopy and cooling corridors.
