Craig Allen is an expert in media, communication, journalism and the history of communication practices.

He is an associate professor at the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication and an associate dean of the Barrett Honors College at the Downtown Phoenix campus.

Allen's previous research has focused on the history of Spanish language television.

Prior to his position at the Cronkite School, Allen has been an active consultant to television news organizations outside the United States, including ICTV in Ukraine, TVB in Indonesia and Pop TV in Slovenia.
