Rodrigo Cervantes
Rodrigo Cervantes is a Clinical Assistant Professor at ASU’s Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication, where he teaches about borders, migration, and Latino issues, among other topics.
An award-winning bilingual journalist, he has reported across the U.S., Latin America, Japan, and Spain for outlets such as NPR, CNN, The Los Angeles Times, Reforma and the BBC. He has led newsrooms on both sides of the border, earning RTDNA Murrow and José Martí awards. His global background and cross-cultural lens set him apart as an expert voice on how multiculturalism, history and global issues shape communities. He currently contributes also as co-managing editor of palabra, the multimedia platform of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists (NAHJ).
