Juliet Weinhold studies speech sounds that are acquired late in childhood, at the early elementary level.

She also researches how disordered use of the facial and tongue muscles can lead to differences in speech, swallowing and facial growth.  Her previous work has included how children learn to associate words with their meaning and how bilingual children shift between speaking different languages.

Weinhold is a clinical associate professor in the College of Health Solutions.
