Jamie Gorman
Jamie Gorman is a Professor of Human Systems Engineering and Director of the Center for Human, Artificial Intelligence, and Robot Teaming.
Social scientists and engineers traditionally develop technology (AI, robotic) and theories of human behavior (psychology) closed off from each other, in isolated laboratories and professional societies. Jamie Gorman’s work is at the forefront of a new science that is unifying these formerly disparate disciplines through the concept of human-machine teaming. Dr. Gorman develops innovative approaches for measuring human-machine teaming that simultaneously predict system effectiveness and human experience working with new and developing technologies to support human adaptation, survival, and flourishing.
