Idris Adelakun researches sustainable project management, engineering leadership, organizational management and the use of artificial intelligence and emerging technologies in project decision-making.
His work focuses on how organizations and project leaders can use technology to improve project performance, address complex challenges and advance sustainable outcomes. As an assistant teaching professor of project management, Adelakun’s research examines the human, organizational and technological aspects of project management. His current research includes occupational stress among project managers in healthcare organizations in the era of AI and project managers’ and leaders’ perspectives on AI and emerging technologies. His work also explores how AI can support project planning, risk assessment, leadership and decision-making.
