Neal Woodbury’s research specializes in diagnostic technology and immune signaling. His work explores the role of protein dynamics in photosynthetic systems. His team uses this information to make nanoscale devices to interact with the photochemical process.

He is a professor and chief science and technology officer for the School of Molecular Sciences, as well as for ASU Knowledge Enterprise and the School of Life Sciences Interdisciplinary Graduate Faculty.

Woodbury is a faculty member in the Biodesign Center for Innovations in Medicine. He is the school director and a professor for the Center for Biological Physics. He is a Sustainability Scientist and Scholar and Lincoln Scholar for the Lincoln Center for Applied Ethics.

Woodbury is a co-founder of HealthTell, which focuses on diagnostic technology and immunosignatures.
