Kristin Gilger is an expert in journalism, news writing, reporting and media.

She is a Reynolds professor in business journalism at the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication, as well as an executive director of the Donald W. Reynolds National Center for Business Journalism and the National Center on Disability and Journalism.

Prior to her position at ASU, Gilger served as deputy managing editor for news at The Arizona Republic, where she led a team of more than 100 reporters and editors at the nation’s 15th largest newspaper.

Professor Gilger most recently co-authored "There's No Crying in Newsrooms" which encapsulates the rise of women as leaders in media organizations.
