Amy Ostrom researches services marketing, including the new area of "transformative service" -- the relationship between service and customer well-being. Her work has been published in the Journal of Marketing, the Journal of Consumer Research, the Journal of Consumer Psychology, and the Journal of Service Research, among other leading publications.

Ostrom is the PetSmart Chair in Service Leadership and the head of the Department of Marketing at the W. P. Carey School of Business.
