Binil Starly
Binil Starly is a leader in advanced manufacturing.
Holding a doctoral degree in mechanical engineering from Drexel University, he integrates digital tools with intelligent machines. His expertise spans workforce development, advanced manufacturing, operations engineering, and robotics and automation. Passionate about educating future engineers, Starly focuses on digital design, cyber-physical systems, additive manufacturing and biofabrication.
Starly believes that helping students address skill gaps and adapt to new technologies is essential for building a diverse talent pipeline. His significant contributions to the field have earned him numerous accolades, such as being awarded one of the Most Influential Professors in Smart Manufacturing by the Society of Manufacturing Engineers in 2020, a NASA TechBrief Award in 2010 for his innovative contributions to technology and a National Science Foundation CAREER Award in 2009 for his work in engineering living tissue systems.
