Paola Boivin is an expert in the history of women in sports journalism and can address the misconceptions of some of the high-profile issues and conflicts involving women in the field. Boivin is a professor of practice and director of ASU's Cronkite News Sports Bureau. She’s taught sports ethics and is particularly tuned into the impact of social media and the relationships among journalists, athletes and fans.

She's is a longtime sportswriter and a regular guest on local and national radio and television shows, including CNN and ESPN. Before joining ASU, she was a columnist at The Arizona Republic, covering major sporting events, sharing her hard-hitting commentary and game analysis.
