Mark Robinson is an expert in geological processes and planetary geology.

Robinson is a professor in the School of Earth and Space Exploration, and the principal investigator for the  NASA Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter Camera and a new NASA lunar imaging experiment called ShadowCam.

Robinson's research focuses on the origin and evolution of planetary crusts, including volcanism, tectonism, and regolith development.
