Liesel Sharabi studies the connection between communication technologies and interpersonal relationships.

Her research explores romantic relationships and technology’s role in revealing and transforming basic principles of attraction. This includes her studies in relationship initiation and development practices in online dating sites and mobile dating apps. Sharabi’s research aims to understand the growing interdependence between online behaviors and offline relationships.

Sharabi is an assistant professor in the Hugh Downs School of Human Communication, and also the director of the Relationships and Technology Lab at ASU.
