Darshan Karwat is an expert in biofuels, energy and sustainability, engineering ethics and energy policy.

Karwat is an assistant professor in the School for the Future of Innovation in Society where he runs "re-Engineered," an interdisciplinary group that embeds environmental projection, social justice, and peace in engineering. 

Professor Karwat's research focuses on the philosophy, education and practice of engineering by measuring the industry's moral and social responsibility.
