Cody Telep is an expert in police collaborations and the impact of police practices on crime.

Telep's research interest is the relationship between police activities and perceived legitimacy. He has authored and co-authored over 20 professional publications related to policing and criminology. 

Telep is an associate professor and director of undergraduate programs in the School of Criminology and Criminal Justice. 

He is involved in the Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences and the American Society of Evidence-Based Policing.
