Timothy Long is an expert in chemistry, sustainability, material science and engineering.

He is the center director of the Biodesign Center for Sustainable Macromolecular Materials and Manufacturing and a professor in School of Molecular Sciences.

Professor Long leads research in novel macromolecular structure and polymerization processes for advanced technologies, taking full advantage of 3D printing techniques to drive sustainable production of material designs.

Timothy Long is a fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science and was awarded for his incorporation of sustainability into chemical education by the American Chemistry Society.
