Mark Hannah is a former attorney whose work examines intersections of law, rhetoric, and expertise in complex, multi-disciplinary problem-solving contexts. His research has appeared in top-tier academic and legal journals such as Nevada Law Journal, Journal of Technical Writing and Communication, International Journal of Business Communication, College Composition and Communication, Nature, and Environment Systems and Decisions, as well as in edited collections.

Mark Hannah is an associate professor in the Department of English where he directs the program in writing, rhetorics and literacies.

With expertise in scientific communication and collaboration, Hannah has served as co-investigator on projects funded by the National Science Foundation.
