Christine Vogt has been conducting research for over 20 years in the areas of recreation, parks, tourism, and natural resources, more specifically in the area of tourism, recreation planning and community assessment in rural and urban areas.
She has conducted research at local, state and federal levels primarily in Michigan, Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Missouri, New Mexico, Indiana, Illinois, and New York. Her expertise is consumer behavior and experiences, information search and decision-making (including marketing communications and web services), and evaluation and survey research.
Vogt is director of the Center for Sustainable Tourism in the School of Community Resources and Development in the Watts College of Public Service and Community Solutions.
A number of the projects Vogt has worked on are relevant to the development and marketing of the Desert Discovery Center.
